Late Round Best Ball Targets
Chew gives you names to look out for in the final two rounds of your Best Ball drafts.
It is never too early to prepare for redraft season and what better way to do that than drafting endless best ball rosters. Mock drafts are certainly helpful but best ball is a more engaging way to get a sense of how a draft will flow from various draft positions. Best ball is not quite the same as redraft but it is a way to wet your whistle after completing dynasty rookie drafts and before redraft drafts.

*ADP sourced from 4for4.com with late round players qualifying with ADP greater than 192 (Round 17+).
Ja’Tavion Sanders (TE)
ADP: 199
Sanders is the starter with Tommy Tremble injured and on an improving offense. Despite a sputtering offense and injury hindering his 2024 season, he did have two top-12 weeks. As a vertical threat at the tight end position on a team needing playmakers, there is plenty of best ball upside this late in the draft.
Dyami Brown (WR)
ADP: 204
Brown has a role as an outside vertical threat and he’s improved that during his time in D.C. to earn a fresh contract for a fresh-faced Jaguars offense. While there will be targets funneled to Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter, Brown can play his role and contribute to best ball lineups for a week or two.
Tutu Atwell (WR)
ADP: 205
The top dog in LA remain Puka Nacua and swapping Cooper Kupp for Davante Adams was a wise decision, but Atwell still has a place in the Sean McVay offense. Atwell has topped 60 targets in each of the last two season and has stepped up when injuries occur so I trust receivers in the Rams offense.
Tyler Shough (QB)
ADP: 209
I am not a believer in Shough as a franchise quarterback but the path has been paved for him to start for the Saints in Week 1. Drafting Shough this late is a good hedge against injury if you already have two quarterbacks heading into the last round of the draft.
Theo Johnson (TE)
ADP: 217
Much like Ja’Tavion Sanders, getting a starting tight end this late is simply a value. The weekly volatility of the tight end position leads to scores of players like Johnson being utilized for one or more weeks in best ball. And whether it is Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, or Jaxson Dart under center, the tight end is a quarterback’s best friend.
Russell Wilson (QB)
ADP: 218
Speaking of Russell Wilson… One of the 32 starting quarterbacks available in the last round of best ball drafts is criminal. Is he the starter by the end of the 2025 season? I am not so certain. But he joins an offense with a number of playmakers headlined by Malik Nabers.
Miles Sanders (RB)
ADP: 237
Yet another year of the Cowboys not investing much in the running back position. While Javonte Williams is poised to be the starter, Sanders showed a glimpse of the player he still can be in the final week of the 2024 regular season. The running back is a volatile position so getting the RB-2 on a team with a path to touches is worth it in the last round of best ball drafts.
Raheem Mostert (RB)
ADP: 262
I am all in on the new look Raiders in 2025 and that includes the running back not named Ashton Jeanty. Mostert is not far removed from a remarkable 2023 season where he tallied 21 total touchdowns and nearly 1,200 total yards. That will not happen in 2025, but Mostert provides veteran savvy and an all-around skillset that could lead to spike weeks for best ball drafters.
So you made it this long and hopefully you enjoyed it (that’s what she said). If you wouldn’t mind sharing this in your group message with your fellow dynasty degenerates I would greatly appreciate it!
