Dynasty Trades - Everyone Has A Price
Chew covers the three ranges of players in dynasty and where their trade values fall.
There’s not a better feeling than seeing a completed dynasty trade notification. But every trade is not built the same. Are you trading for/away a cornerstone? Is it a player that falls somewhere in the one of many middle tiers? Or is it a player further down the rankings that you’re hoping will surprise? Regardless of the players, let’s take a look at a few trades I would recommend to acquire them.
Trades were sourced from Dynasty Daddy trade database. Trades were based on the following settings:
Quarterbacks: 2
Scoring Format: 1
Tight End Premium: 0-0.5
Team Count: 8-12
Starter Count: 8-11
*Each trade includes a one-sentence explanation supporting the trade.
The Cornerstones
Josh Allen
Josh Allen ←→ Caleb Williams + Jonathan Brooks + Ricky Pearsall + ‘26 1st round pick + ‘27 1st round pick
A rebuild makes some sense for accepting the Williams side but Allen is a set it and forget it top quarterback.
Josh Allen ←→ Kyler Murray + ‘27 1st round pick + ‘27 1st round pick
Murray is a safe top-12 quarterback and the two firsts are appealing but I’m shooting for the QB-1.
Josh Allen ←→ Trevor Lawrence + Javonte Williams + Garrett Wilson + ‘26 1st round pick
While I like Wilson, this is taking advantage of the sell opportunity for both Lawrence and Wilson.
Bijan Robinson
Bijan Robinson ←→ Jaylen Waddle + Garrett Wilson + ‘27 2nd round pick
Bijan has stability at quarterback and an easy schedule while 2025 could very well define which tier Waddle and Wilson settle into in dynasty.
Bijan Robinson ←→ Kenneth Walker + ‘26 1st round + ‘26 3rd round pick
Walker finished 2024 with his most fantasy points per game but fewest games played and enters a contract year so there’s enough uncertainty to scare me off.
Bijan Robinson ←→ Garrett Wilson + Chase Brown + ‘26 1st round pick
This is the one of the toughest ones but I expect Brown’s production to level out with the emphasis on Chase and Higgins.
Ja’Marr Chase
Ja’Marr Chase ←→ Alvin Kamara + Davante Adams + Jayden Reed + ‘27 1st round pick
If you are competing and need start-able depth you could do worse than Kamara and Adams but Chase has the age and production on his side.
Ja’Marr Chase ←→ Marvin Harrison Jr. + Quinshon Judkins + ‘27 1st round pick
I expect MHJ to take a step forward and Judkins to lead the Browns in carries this season but it’s still Chase by a country mile.
Ja’Marr Chase + ‘27 3rd round pick ←→ Amon-Ra St. Brown + Tetairoa McMillan
This is another tough one as I like both ARSB and McMillan but unless I am rebuilding and want to split Chase for two players I want the WR-1.
Brock Bowers
Brock Bowers ←→ Sam LaPorta + Kyren Williams + ‘26 2nd round pick
LaPorta remains a top-5 tight end in dynasty and Williams could very well get extended but Bowers has the stars aligning for him to remain the #1 target in Las Vegas and in dynasty.
Brock Bowers ←→ Colston Loveland + ‘27 1st round pick
This is just selling on rookie hype as there are a lot of mouths to feed in Chicago and I just don’t see Loveland becoming anything close to Bowers.
Brock Bowers ←→ James Conner + Brenton Strange + ‘26 1st round pick + ‘26 2nd round pick
An intriguing mix of production and value on the Conner side but for longevity and initial production I am taking the Bowers side.
The Middlemen
Baker Mayfield
Baker Mayfield + Josh Jacobs ←→ Saquon Barkley
I see both Mayfield and Jacobs as under-appreciated fantasy players that can win you weeks, while this is likely the biggest sell window for Barkley following a remarkable season.
Baker Mayfield + James Conner ←→ Jordan Love
If I have two quarterbacks on the same tier and can get a back like Conner I am taking the two players every time.
Baker Mayfield + DeVonta Smith ←→ Bo Nix
Nix surprised many thriving in the Sean Payton system in his rookie season but Mayfield is a steady top-half quarterback and Smith has been both available and productive, albeit as the second pass catching option in a run first offense.
Tyrone Tracy
Tyrone Tracy + ‘26 3rd round pick ←→ Jayden Reed
Reed lost some of his luster during 2024 and even more so with the addition of Matthew Golden, while Tracy should have minimal issue holding off rookie Skattebo.
Tyrone Tracy + ‘26 2nd round pick ←→ Kenneth Walker
My skepticism of Walker was previously noted and if I can get a future 2nd round pick then that is just a sound dynasty decision.
Tyrone Tracy + ‘26 3rd round pick ←→ Brian Robinson Jr.
I see these two backs in a similar tier so if I will take the side that includes a future 3rd round pick.
Khalil Shakir
Khalil Shakir + Isaiah Likely ←→ Calvin Ridley
Ridley should have another solid season with a competent quarterback but Shakir is a favorite target for Allen and Likely is the heir apparent TE-1 in Baltimore.
Khalil Shakir + Kaleb Johnson + ‘26 2nd round pick + ‘27 2nd round pick ←→ Kyren Williams + ‘26 3rd round pick
I am skeptical about Johnson being anything more than a budget Najee Harris but the package including two 2nd round picks eases my concern for sending away Williams.
Khalil Shakir + Brashard Smith ←→ Matthew Golden
I am bought in to Smith taking on the Jerick McKinnon role in Kansas City and I simply do not see Golden becoming a top-end wide receiver for fantasy.
Pat Freiermuth
Pat Freiermuth ←→ ‘26 3rd round pick + ‘26 3rd round pick
I think Freiermuth’s value lies somewhere between a 2nd and 3rd round pick so sending two dart throws for him works for me.
Pat Freiermuth + ‘26 2nd round pick ←→ Dalton Kincaid
I did not understand the Kincaid hype when he was drafted and my skepticism is only stronger at this point, so thank you for the additional 2nd round pick.
Pat Freiermuth + Jauan Jennings ←→ Kyle Pitts + ‘26 4th round pick + ‘26 4th round pick
Pitts at least has an uber-productive rookie season to lean on but while they aren’t the sexy names Freiermuth and Jennings should be plenty productive in 2025.
The Other Guys
Will Howard
Will Howard + ‘27 2nd round pick ←→ Matthew Stafford
Stafford is resigned and his current group of pass catchers is tremendous but for the long term I believe Howard can become the starter in Pittsburgh and the future 2nd round pick never hurts.
Will Howard + ‘27 1st round pick ←→ Chuba Hubbard
Hubbard is the clear RB-1 in a budding offense but the value of Howard and a future 1st round pick is just too much to pass up.
Will Howard + ‘26 2nd round pick ←→ Jalen Milroe
I believe strongly in Milroe’s ability to become Justin Fields + for fantasy but not enough to also send a future 2nd round pick.
Ray Davis
Ray Davis ←→ ‘26 4th round pick
I really liked Davis coming out of college and despite Ty Johnson’s role I think Davis showed enough in 2024 to be worth the 4th round dart throw.
Ray Davis + Jared Goff ←→ ‘26 1st round pick
I would trade a 1st round pick for Goff so getting Davis is a nice throw in.
Ray Davis ←→ Roman Wilson
With Pickens out in Pittsburgh there are rumblings that Wilson could usurp Calvin Austin as the WR-2 but whether or not that is true what kind of upside is that?
Devaughn Vele
Devaughn Vele ←→ ‘27 4th round pick
The nearly 27-year old had a quietly productive rookie season and if Sean Payton trusts you then you should continue to get opportunities, especially in a thin wide receiver room.
Devaughn Vele + ‘26 2nd round pick ←→ Jauan Jennings
I like Jennings but Vele and the flexibility of a future 2nd round pick is too much to pass up.
Devaughn Vele + Justin Fields + ‘26 1st round pick ←→ Chase Brown + Geno Smith + Keenan Allen
You won’t find a bigger Geno Smith fan in dynasty but the 1st round pick helps put this one over the edge for me.
Tyler Conklin
Tyler Conklin + Aaron Jones ←→ David Njoku
By season’s end Conklin will settle somewhere between TE15-20 in fantasy points per game but weekly touchdown upside and Jones’ production despite his age gives them the edge of Njoku.
Tyler Conklin + ‘26 3rd round pick ←→ Chig Okonkwo
I think there is a very real possibility Okonkwo cedes touches to rookie Gunnar Helm so I’ll take Conklin and a future 3rd round pick for the trouble.
Tyler Conklin ←→ ‘26 4th round pick
For those that don’t get the top tight ends spending a future 4th round pick on Conklin for depth is a reasonable cost.
So you made it this long and hopefully you enjoyed it (that’s what she said). If you wouldn’t mind sharing this in your group message with your fellow dynasty degenerates I would greatly appreciate it!
